pop/s/icles and popcorn of pop culture poppin-g-s movies

Image result for alice in wonderland characters images of doorway and key lockImage result for cartoon mary poppinsPoppins Out to the 'film-ic' movies..

Mary is back with her powerful ‘lamb’of an umbrella.

Her 'lamp' guiding umbrella to success; -so to speak -so to say, as she pops in and out and up and down /mainly of course up and then down/ -in her flights of doing this and saying that…
She doesn’t pop as much as stay put -for the children, in their quest to find the deeds and moneys and papers for the house to stay put -with, and as a part of them and their lives..

From frantic parents to adorable learning children, to Mary and her popping props, and to last but not least, the 'hatted' and enchanting chimney sweeps; with one in particular, sweeping us off our  viewers’ feet… They help with the adventure and quest in order to, to, to: hold on for the finale etc etc:
To stop time; tic tic tic toc..TICKING CLOCK literally -in this particular specific time framed edited case of cases.

They solve the case in the story line of almost lost but kept (and found before) house of houses.
They find the papers and deeds and stitch them up for the bankers’ needs.
Just in the 'nick' of toc toc time, indeed so -dear viewers-..That's how they keep their house-s..
From the attic, to the doorknobs an' broomsticks, we fly from scene to finders keepers scene..

The set is set for success, not just for Mary as a strong female teacher and healer of the situation at hand, but also for a successful colorful band of musical sequences.

Colours and shapes and sizes of house props included with the awesome music.

Chimneys swept and ready to GO see this movie of movies -in this house of movie houses -so to say etc, so to speak, of this and that old classic story; but with the help of different scenes of modern day acting/s...

Hats on and off and soot-ed faces ‘glued with glee’… Enjoy the 'film-ic' movie.

The Aqua Man film is filled with glorious graceful actors and their moving hands and legs and limbs and feet. They step it up with a script of stomping speed and rely on filmic ‘stones of metaphors’ as they journey to retrieve the fork of Neptune’s arm, in order to defeat the many fighting factions.

We follow their adventures under the sand dunes and water falls, of the ‘underworlds’ of layered grounds and splashing waves. The story takes a turn and then another as the hero and his friendly lady discover one another’s power.

The hero is indeed apt at jumping from scene to scenic seeing scene; with his seer and her seeing eyes of blue not green -rays of power. They defeat their foes with ‘shots’ of ablaze, as they move from jump to port; in order to retrieve clues of holographic glows.

They find the messages below the sands and dunes, and underneath the seas of waves of crystal blues inside the Neptunian lairs… From Octopus alien fish look alikes, to alien dark ‘Vedas’, the hero (and the lady) ‘swim in deep waters’ and eventually, eventually, as they are retrieving their clues to the ‘fork of powerful destiny’;

They defeat the many monstrous ways of creatures beneath the earth and sea. And there is so much more to see in this film of the year! From crackling ‘Krakens’, to crashing sassy whales, and to Elfin looking kings and so-called brothers (and queens....)

We even find the fighting scenes in the wavy atmospherics of ships and the ozone layer...

Much more to see as they fight from faction to faction and from monstrous creature interaction to interaction -till they eventually defeat the other ‘forks’ and resume their legacy and ‘Neptunian’ destined ways.

The hero -and his friends- are not as ship wrecked as we once thought in the first scenes of the film and they definitely know their way around the seas...

A hybrid hero and a muggle too! Astray he, aqua man, may seem at first, but he ends up finding his way all the way back home…to his devil’s fork...and his Neptune’s destiny.

Who is who and who is loyal to who at the end of the day and night?

Grinding reels

Crimes of Rowling’s Genius.

Another genius ‘genie in the box’ production by Harry Potter but not:

This latest film by many talented ‘Potters’, sheds light on a great adventure.

The lamp is lit as we begin the treasure hunt for the blood vial in a cave but not Aladdin’s in this case.

There are many treasures sought by all…

Pure bloods versus muggles or pure bloods versus the good side, in fantastic beasts’ action scenes, all for the glory of power..

The winners and the story line are not as prominent as the amazing special effects.

We are left hanging for more movies to come, at the end of this epic 3D adventure, and in this hunt for ‘The’ vial and for the bad guys’ demise.

The main attractions are the beasts of fire and water and of wind factors of action motion, as they ‘slay’ and ‘wing’ across the scenes and screens. They ‘sing’ and ‘swing’ through musical scores, fighting battles within awesome settings of explosive colours. The beasts are the main attractions for sure dear viewers.

From small magical creatures to big ‘Animagus’ features, we are mesmerised by the action we see on screen and by the glory of the ‘reds’, ‘blues’ and electric colour highs.

The ‘setting rooms’ are a ‘mish mash’ of authentic spell binding ‘Merlin’ style props. They provide us with a great contrast to the external ‘elementals’.

From fire, to water, to wind and then to earth, all of our senses are taken in by the external ‘props’ and by the internal settings as well.

The ephemeral i.e. quick hazy sometimes scenes, take us from subtle prop to prop, as well as from room to room and from action to action. Script kind of a little included -but not too much so…

Props galore in very fast -too fast- sliding door scenes and within shots of moving glory.

‘Pandora’s box’ is full of clues and insignias -leading to more clues and then to the discovery of the enchanting ‘more of the story’.

The origin of the pure bloods is a key point to the factions and to their taking of sides in the plot.

Who will join whom, and who will beat whom, in the final scene of this Star Wars style ‘thou shalt not pass’ wands out and baskets in…production.

The ‘book of spells’ is not foremost in this movie; and not as obvious as the writings on the ‘walls’ or the portals and symbols and vial-(s), etc…The latter are much more prominent than the spells or the magical words out loud.

That’s all for today and tonight dear readers of Lord of the Rings style epic fights.
‘My precious, my precious’ book or ring of spells and portals -wherefore art thou?

The hunt is on…for the props and the clues -be they books and rings or not as the cases of many fascinating portals may be.

Santa Baby

Snowman Cycles and Views-Viewers’ choice:

The winter season is upon us and the cycles are complete. They are too in this epic short-lived adventure at Wonderland London.
This ‘Snowman’ short film, with stylish epic depictions of nature’s beauteous winter season, greets us at Winter Wonderland too!
We start with the living quarters of the young boy and his idea of inspired snow flakes for a snowman. Outside his window and then inside, we find ourselves immersed in wonder of Nature’s wonder…
He builds the snow and greets the man on his living room chair, TV set and all.
The kitchen is reminiscent of cosy and close to home -with pots and tea sets and pans and all.
Merry snowflakes at winter’s door -in London town- ‘Holmes’ style and fun as well as serious dinner settings and tables and chairs -in one of the rooms of this epic adventure.
Many rooms inside and outside the movie set, inside the set and inside the movie projectors.
We walk and sit from living room to dining room -as the snow boy and his new made friend the snowman fly from the living room to the kitchen for a drink of hot coco perhaps -dear readers and viewers…
They fly and twirl from snow to puddle, to forests and woodland settings, and so do we, as we fly across the ‘metaphorical worlds’ of the ‘cycles’ of the movie cameras, into the next room and then the next; inside and and and outside the movie itself.
Warm boots and clothing advised dear adventurers and wandering wanderers, and pipes of smoking sand dunes not required -since the smoke and shadows are provided by the many entrances and lovely staff at winter’s wonder London town land -(Santa) hats and all.

Versus Witch Witch?

Winding back the clocks, hickory dickory dock style.

From Agatha Christie’s murder mystery spoofs and ghostly atmospheres, to the haunted mansion feeling of spooks and spooky stories, in this Clocks movie -with pirate actor Jack Black.

The story takes us from clue to clue and from ‘sticker to sticker’ -through attached and flowing edited scenes. We have ghostly corridors, Halloween chimneys, and Harry Potter like moving portraits -in this epic big screen production of witchcraft and graveyards.

The mission is to find the skeleton book and key in order to stop the clocks.

Tick Tock…
One hidden clock and one evil ghost and his female disguised counterpart are trying to take over the world of magic. Will they regain their youth and life back and stay young forever, bringing darkness to the rest of the world? Or will the apprentice boy decipher the clues in the book and defeat the ghost in the graveyard?

With the help Jack Black as Merlin, and his sorceress who regains her powers through sheer will, the team manages to find magic in the mansion’s portals and uncover the mystery in order to find the clocks and stop the old man’s ghost from taking over the world. Watch out for the clocks scenes at the finale!!!

Merlin Black, his boy apprentice, and the good sorceress, battle against the ‘old ghost’ and his ‘evil witch’ in disguise.

The magic symbols and enchanted objects are ‘key’ to unraveling the mystery, and to finding the blood bone key to the book of ‘skeletons’ (so to speak) – in order to use its powers to defeat the evil witch and the old ghostly ghost.
The symbols range from book to book and the potions are poisonous!
From metaphor to metaphor and from portal to portal, we follow the heroes into the attic of doom. Here we find the dolls and devils who move from room to bedroom.
The garden scene is as moving as the graveyard one in its spooky atmosphere of Halloween.
The moss lion is like a green octopus -with its ‘tentacles’ reaching high and flying low.
From signals and palms, to hands in graves and yards, and to bedrooms and books at night, we are haunted by the mansion and its surprises -as well as by the denouement of the story line.
Watch out for the swirling heads.

Reminiscent of the Witches of the East and West, as well as of the Adam’s Family and of Rowling’s deeds on pages, this movie jumps from fabulous page scene to script finale.

The linear story is above.
The clues are in the inanimate books, keys, and in the moving portraits and portals.
The cookie is of extreme importance in stringing the whole thing together.
The animation of the lion, ghostly hand, etc, is fabulously fun and entertaining.
The symbols are intriguing, both on the pages and off the pages!
The visual effects are a whirlwind of turning heads on screen and off!!!

We move to the title from the jumps of scenic scenery in the latest titled below not above:
Hotel Trip Accounts counts dot com.com...

Hotels cost money unless on a discount voucher and so do cruise ship cruises and so we decide to go to the movies and save on cruises….
We sail along the ship Transylvania style love of characters and much-loved character love.
We find our characters loving one another -friendly style mainly- on this cruising expedition of a ship -sailing from coast to horror hotel to hollow grey and brown and multi-coloured space and time below the deep blues…
The gorgeous ghostly skeletal Chicago blues characters love the monsters within and the blobs without colour inside. And visa-versa—what good friends they all are --and seem to be but:
Dracula is missing his wolfish teeth and his collar -since he is a gentler than life and death, Adams family style loved up gorgeous fellow, that he is...
He loves the lady luck he meets on board the ship (lushness style) but can’t seem to grasp the meaning of the robotic danger he may be in because of her!!! From room locks to hotel keys and ‘blocs’ of train tracks, to swaying rides and fights on board the ‘snowy’ orient express.
Snow and hail but not so at all in this case, ‘Mr. Frankenstein’s hair do’. May we remind you sir and monsters ‘inches’ and giants too that the robot is a bad guy who doesn’t seem to realise how sunny it is on board the ship. Ahoy mates! Leave the monsters alone…would you please Mr Franky!?
'Wakey' wake up Mr. Frankenstein’s robotic body but not his soul at all- which seems dead as door nails from the start of his movie role! Where is the fun in too much danger and not enough fin-ny fun capers? /You really seem soulless and evil much: did you really think you could overcome Mr. Dracula D??? not he no sir!
Love does not conquer all this time 'tout de suite', but more in time, and it does help him a little and a lot -as 'lady luck luscious' joins his side eventually -in the form of the first lady of the cruise ship.
Nor does love conquer the monstrous family -at all- because they are too busy having fin fun -jumping from transport mode to ‘alien’ ship before. Between brackets ():: no aliens in this film nor movie – but in the sense that no matter where they are, they find their fun and funnies- ha ha he he ha ha…..funny good looking conglomeration of ‘alien’ looking monsters inc/s; as they ‘ink’ and ‘draw’  their way out of danger on our big screen -animation style--in this epic Trans.. movie legend!!

Which craft is Yous

From witches in anime colour perfect schemes to witches in other schemes;

We find ourselves immersed in "The Littlest Witch' who isn't so little at all in talent or talented who done it witch-crafting:;

She is bewitching and bewitched our littlest witch from her colourful robes of colour and scarf of blue to her incredible raven friend and robotic exteriors,

In other words her littlest cottage in the forest of the pond of woods etc is in fact bewitched by a mechanical singing parrot who mimics and echoes the lovely lovely tunes of the musical scores in this extravagantly vacant in story movie?

And yet the animated mayhem of the littlest witch grandioses her into an Alice in giant Wwonderland of transforming spells.

She spellbinds our hearts with her chanting and her escapism into her spell book spells and wizardry,
she moves us from scene to spell to rain of glass to freezing snowman spelling his name wrong as he melts...in other words every being she meets ends up her beloved snow flake including the charming charmed black cat who belongs to another wickedest witch of them all.

Will she learn all of the spells enough to dance with the circle of witches or will she fail the bento bento spelling test? She fires and snows and winds her way to winning in the end and even manages a pool of frogs and flying book spells as a final before the burning of the witch season as she cooks her seasonal spells and held out the poor little orphans of this world for the greater good.
In other words she bewitches the children's hearts with her loving ways and sprinkles of fairy dust as well as with her love spells galore.

Or where there any love spells and potions at all Mr and Mrs Pitter patter of potter feet???

Sea View and Mountain Shots Volcanic Action

Dino-s or Dinosaurs?
Real or Fake?

Make up is everything on set, but we also mean real or fake in a different sense…
Which is which?

The latest Jurassic Park movie is yet another enduring production of dinosaurs of glorious speed and strength -coming at you and at your screens with yet another awesome adventure.

During this enduring endearing ‘dearest Dino screening’, nothing but fun and mayhem and catastrophic cataclysmic glorious fun and mayhem.

From park location, to timing is everything, it is indeed a fabulously fun film.

Enough said, but really though ‘muggles of Harry Potter style’ human beings, why oh why do you insist on genetically engineering these glorious cataclysmic amazing beings? We do wonder at the silliness of it all!!

Neither the movie, nor the scenes, nor the story line lack in plot...nor the film, nor the production: the plot is mainly to be found in the ‘denouement’ of the story line…it thickens throughout the story but
gets best and better at the end…Mainly Dino-s versus Dino-s…and the return to the natural habitat of the ruling Dinosaurs. They rule and then they rule again, without the genetically engineered so called ‘defense against the arts Dino-s’ -with wires for brains…

Humans keep making the same mistakes again and again…

But humans cannot rule the animal kingdom, only the ‘Animagus’ and the ‘lions’ can….will they never ever learn.

Other than the Dino-Dino action, the rest of the plot is much expected.

Bad ‘muggles’; i.e.: the bad ‘guys’ who are muddled, lose the plot in the end. Their loss.

Dino-s are saved from the human ‘engineers’, and from the engineered cloned Dinosaurs…What a
surprise! It isn’t one at all, but the shots are quite ‘star-rific’ and shooting style stars in your eyes.

3D images of glorious in your eyes big shots of scenic adventure lands, bring us back to this enduring awesome adventure of Dinosaurs -shot in wide lenses and close ups too. Back to the Park during this Jurassic filming. Timing is everything in this production, and for its date of release too…

'Mia and the Magoo'

The golden Pear.

From the apple to the pear of the good old root of the first ever tree!

The golden tints are safe in the soil -in this epic adventure- in slow motion.

Ending with penciled chalk drawings and faded colors of old utensils...
Starting with: the above techniques of colors too.

1-Recipe 1: the witch in the horror cottage house is a 'skellie' of a shell of a shell faced old woman, faced with young Mia who is lost in the woods. Mia is looking for her dad in the lost mines of never lands...
The good and bad old witch helps her by cutting her raven curls into the cauldrons of olden days.
The explosion of the hollow which follows suit is the path of 'Oz' towards his good old Tree...
The mystery thickens, but: ‘Dickens/s’ hold on to the edges of your seats: belts on, as we see what transpires:

2-Recipe 2: Mia’s mom doesn’t help her much, except with the clue of the cauldron in the hearth and at the heart of the 'fire stone' home; since the clues turn out to actually be about the ‘Mmunchkinmunchin'moomins’ protecting the pears at the root of the Tree.

3-Recipe 3: ‘Moomins’ begone!, says Mia, the flying witch of dreams.
When she does fly and flies into the volcanoes and the waters to find the Tree and then meet up with her found dad too, she comprehends the 'Moomins' and assists them too.
Her dad was lost in the mines and now not so!!
Finding her dad is part of the treasure hunt, but the main hunt is the ‘Moomins'’ search..
They are ‘begoing’ unto their paths of discovery -for Mia too. Where they, go she tries to follow.
In this case: finding an alternative to the burning, buried, drowning, flying tree/s...!
This helps Mia find her dad too!
123!

4-Recipe 4: The second story within the first story within the main frame is also the boy’s tale -he accompanies Mia on her adventures: they meet half way across the crowds of the wrong crow crows and grow together as friends.
Understanding the morals of the stories is simply put this way: his dad is wrong and hers is perhaps also too?

5-Recipe 5 and the final one is the following: the wistful misty ashy ghosts with the hollow hearts of gold didn’t do it at all after all. One mustn't rush dear ones!
…And so the 'Moomin' folks didn’t break the heart of the earth or of the tree: the protectors never ‘wood’.

6-Finally this: Recipe 6:  and in short terms this: they find one another all for one and one for all -at the end of it all, but the bad miner father of the boy and his henchmen had longed for the money of gold instead of and at the expense of the trees...
The other father is just and simply put Mia’s dad, and is saved but remains too weak.
The boy's mother isn’t a witch like Mia’s mom at all, but is a hunter of Alaskan soil. ‘Woof’ and wolves alike alight into the unknown but in another tale perhaps. In this one: the dogs of ice and of white golden fur are bound for staying put -that’s all here folks.
In this story, the 'Moomins' are the ones on the move, mainly..

7-Basically: the morals are these: follow the natural leniency of the trees…and away we go, away and far away from the fallen sinking ships of industry, and from the danger zones of cutting edges at work and play, towards the essence of the thing itself: to the root of the problem:

Image result for mia and me witchImage result for magoo

Basically, remember this and never forget that: always be yourself without fear, and protect those and the things you love the most in life. It is indeed and in fact of the utmost importance to protect ones own!

ALL FOR ONE and one for all!!!

A Monster in Parigi

The third but still one to go!

This particular animation film at Cine Lumiere is in English.
No subtitles are required here, since the story is a straightforward one of a hybrid of stories.
Instead of being with one flying book, or with a hybrid human or two, we find ourselves with the new age pages of many fables in one.
Unlike the previous CineLum stories seen before.

It takes us into the upside-down world of Frankenstein’s lab -where the morbid forbidden forest is a mix and mash of flora and fauna.
No lab electricals here, except for the electricity of the natural elements, exploding inside bottles and into potions, and creating a bewitching and magical world for all us viewers.
From a giant spider inside Harry Potter world, to another forest filled with love and with mutant hunch back singing skeletons.
Hats down to the creators of this film for its imaginative Jack and the Bean Stalk flowery romantic content.
The movie offers us growing sun flowers and monstrous spider mutants.

In actual fact: there is only one: he is the phantom skeleton spider of the opera, with an angel singer for a friend. He is Jack of the Bean sun flower too!
They lullaby us into a stage of theatrical Parigi.
The final fable felt in this film -through signs, symbols and hints of insignias- is Alice in Wonderland. From the talking top of the giant tree or plant, to the eat-me/drink-me papers and letters of invitations, we jump from scene to glorious scene.
The tea party is set in a French style bistro setting -from time to time, as well as in the movie theatre, and on a cabaret musical stage.
The hunch back of Notre Dame is non-other than the phantom skeleton hat wearing hero too; the same giant looking spider -who isn’t a germ at all but a talented being.

The story is also a gargoyle type buildings story -where the escape scenes take us away from the top of buildings and balloons to the trams and moving vehicles of a transformative nature.
The cars change and so do the living things.

The content is one of love and couples, as well as of Sherlock Holmes detective clues and follow ups.
Will the commissionaire and the captain find the culprits? Who are the culprits and how will the story unfold?
Escapes and Chases above and afoot!
Not forgetting the love angle baby!
Sing me out to black-

How clever will our hybrid team of heroes be?
