Super Duper ma: pourqoi etcetera;

League of Extraordinary Actors BUT:

Real life people during camera action change into the superheroes they wish they could be in realitA, BUT it is a passing stage act for them -albeit very entertaining- during the time they are able to transform.

Synopsis:

Superheroes unite against the devilish ways of the evil factions in this gaming style filmed film.

Set and Setting:

The vivid colours of the set and dress code are contrasted on purpose: good gals and guys find themselves in toned down watery effects, whilst evil doers drown in vibrant fiery dimensions.

Elementals:

The scenes move from air filled action sequences, to watery fights, to fire against fire fists of justice versus the unfair 'baddies'.

Story Portals:

The story line revolves around portal boxes holding the power to bring back good guys to life or to transport the evil doers into their own inferno dimensions. Who will find the treasure boxes and keep them?

Dante or Rigoletto?:

The purgatory fight scenes are the main event in this production and allow the heroes to unite in Paradiso at the end of the movie -when they send the devil and his minions back to their domain.

‘Pret a Porter et a Sotter’ -quando you see this fast moving movie; wands out film buffs with your magical opinions.

The magic of movie making continues.

Musical and Music and Music and here we are Mr. Frankie Baby?

A ‘newbie’ short and sweet!

Frankenstein’s Musical extravaganza show leaves one gasping for more art in setting and more 

colour in dress codes.

The dance routines and musical notes are cute and cuddly and the acting is superbly lead by Frankie baby: green in this case and not ‘ol blue eyes’.

End here because one must see it to believe it! ;)

PS: characters fit very very well indeed within the atmospheric scenes, especially in the woods of ‘just’ behaviour too!

Focus if you will on the lighting and thunderous applause…

TUTTCHOOCIAO

Murder is afoot and a hand shake away says Mr. H.!

Poirot’s logical mind- which is very much like Mr. Holmes’s- wins over confusing double clues and hidden messages in this eternal classic of a movie.

All aboard clues and all, on the express to heaven or hell- if you will excuse the pun.

Justice is served best at the end of the film when confessions come forth because of guilt as well as discoveries, post investigations.

Poirot leads with his methodical mind from point to point.

The filmic scenery is grandiose; ranging from snowy hills to atmospheric cabins, and from clear cut backgrounds to stylish camera lens cloudy effects.

The characters are ‘Clue’ movie type ones, ranging from the maid to the cook to other type characters.

In my opinion the acting is quite high end cool and groovy and the casting is just right. Depp and Michelle are well cast, but one would have hoped for a larger role for them both, especially Mr. Depp.

The costumes are Gatsby and galore type ones, glamourous and dramatic -adding to the gloomy feeling of dread, and to the escalation of events, in the classic plot line.

The complex plot is caramelized by the two main clues: the kimono and the conductor’s outfit and missing button: i.e. the sensuality of the clues in texture and colour and form add to the sweetness of this successful film.

The investigations are conducted logically and leave us on the edge of our ticketed seats.

At the denouement, the confessions bring back to mind the deductive genius of Hercule. It makes us think back to the clues –including the handkerchief, the burnt note, the fallen drugged coffee cup at the crime scene, and the many heavy or light set wounds found in the victim’s chest.

                

Knives out but then again the story ends well.

T H E OR T H E

To Thor or not to Be Thor.

Script wise, Thor is a standard story of Good versus Evil.

Thor is yet again a powerful lion of strength against injustice, no matter which circle he finds it within.

Family members waver between justice type deers or foxes of glory or hounds of hellish beings.

Thor succeeds in winning over the less powerful physical thinking individuals with both his resilient body and intensely fair and balanced mind.

Portals are a prominent part of the transformation in the story line and lead us from colourful scenes to quick fight filled sections, in this amazingly big screen production.

Portals waver between ‘Malkovichian’ style physical shapes of -for instance- circles or squares etc, and/or editorial cuts and jumps from colour to colour of hazy but mostly clear cartoonish game-like scenarios and lines.

The setting is the continued world of power struggles between factions.

The background is one of political upheavals which culminate in the success of Thor as the justice leader in a world previously gone mad with greed.

The animal instincts of -for example- anger and jealousy, take over for a short while in Thor’s environment, but he never succumbs and transforms the evil doers into grains of sand (metaphorically speaking of course).

The ‘transfiguration’ of the plot and characters is complete towards the end of the film when the wrong doers and evil thinkers receive their justice.

Fair is Fair and so is Thor too! J
